Montecucco Sangiovese is produced from 100% sangiovese grapes harvested in rich tufa and clayey soils, particularly suitable to this vine.
As far as concern winemaking we underline the long skin contact, frequent pumping-over in the initial stage and the constant temperature monitored and maintained not over 28°. The conditioning for about 10 months in French oak cask, finally, gives to “Sangiovese” type the particularity taste of soft woods in which the tannins have been refined and polymerised.
The color is a characteristic intense ruby red.
